About us-OWCC

World Coach Colombia – NGO

Organización World Coach Colombia (OWCC) is a non-governmental organization and human rights defender entity with over 15 years of proven field experience in Colombia’s most complex conflict-affected regions. Born out of a strategic alliance with key national and international partners—including FIFA, BBVA, the Vice Presidency of the Republic, the Colombian Football Federation, the International Organization for Migration (IOM), and foreign cooperation agencies—OWCC serves as a trusted, frontline territorial operator in child protection and peacebuilding.

While it academically coincides with the Quebec (Canada) psychoeducational model developed by Professor Jacques Dionne, OWCC has built its own operational framework adapted to Colombia’s territorial reality. We empower community leaders and social actors through our specialized School of Trainers “Coaches “(Escuela de Formadores), equipping them to lead sustainable local transformation. Simultaneously, we directly protect children, adolescents, and youth (NNAJ) through our Psychoeducational Sports & Cultural Academies, turning athletics, dance, and arts into protective shields against illegal recruitment and exploitation by armed groups.

WORLD COACH COLOMBIA – NGO is a human rights organization with a territorial, ethnic, and differential approach, operating in areas impacted by armed conflict and the recruitment of minors—regions with a high presence of illicit crops and criminal gangs, which have become strategic spaces where multicriminality acts as a cancer for Colombia. In alignment with public policy, our teams in the field have as their primary mission the stabilization of community settings through participation networks, the activation of prevention pathways, and the training of leaders in human rights defense within local communities.

In the fight to restore rights, we have generated, together with the UN-IOM, a technical model for territorial intervention as a strategy through the creation of “Community Participation Networks.” These are social hubs with clear objectives focused on developing community leadership—active collective subjects in building the social fabric, driving economic development, serving as agents of transformation, and generating a democratic culture. Over the years, our programs have received support from strategic allies such as BBVA, FIFA, USAID, ICBF, the UN Human Rights Office (OHCHR), APC-Colombia (Presidential Agency for International Cooperation), Banco Agrario, the Mayor’s Office of Cartagena, the German Cooperation agency (GIZ), and the Agency for Reincorporation and Normalization (ARN).
